Easily secure detainees without having to remove handcuffs or leg irons.
The Supplemental Prisoner Adjustable Restraint (SPAR) is a temporary and safe restraint for handcuffed detainees. The SPAR was designed based on feedback and demand from numerous agencies as well as input from officers in the field. Both the stationary and mobile units have the same “easy to apply” features and are ideal solutions for police departments, booking/processing areas and centers, detention centers, cell blocks, court rooms, intake, or any other venue where a detainee needs to be safely secured.
Does this come with a training program and certification?
YES! Purchase of the SPAR units receive access to online training. No other restraint system product has the depth of instruction we provide or the accessibility to answer questions regarding training as we do at this point. Liability seems to be the leading factor in many purchases, and we want to make sure everyone who has one (or more) of our systems has the assurance that everyone is trained under the same guidelines.
The Mobile SPAR Unit has a secure wall mount ring placed on the back stem of the chair to be used in conjunction with wall mounted chains and/or hooks. It is recommended the chains and/or hooks be installed securely within concrete or metal walls. The brakes should always be set on casters when secured to the wall to reduce any movement. No additional mounting hardware is available.
Mobile Unit Dimensions: 32.25" L x 36" W x 55" H

Our facility ordered one of these restraint chairs and since we have received it, it has been amazing. It is so much easier to use than the previous one we had. It also takes less Officers to have to restrain a subject in the chair. Highly recommend!
A Very Reliable Product!

I would like to express my compliments on a very reliable product. In May of 2021, my agency purchased a SPAR chair after seeing a demonstration at the Texas Jail Association conference in Austin. We were impressed by the sturdiness and easy to use functions of the chair. We have used it on several occasions without any difficulties. Some of the features that we appreciate are that a person can be secured quickly and it is easy to move from one location to another. It is also a good deterrent for individuals who are acting aggressively towards staff or others. Once they just see the chair, they usually quickly reconsider their behavior. It is a reasonably priced product that this agency has benefitted from owning.
The easiest I've ever used!

Our facility purchased that SPAR Restraint Chair in May and have had to use it several times. I have been in Law Enforcement over 20 years and have used numerous types of restraint chairs/devices. Hands down the SPAR is the most effective, humane and easy to use I have ever used.
Easy to Use

Our facility purchased that SPAR Restraint Chair in January and have used it several times. Hands down the SPAR is the most effective, humane and easy to use restraint device that I have ever used. Very reliable product and does not require as many officers to restrain an offender as it does with other devices.
Ordered on the Spot

WE WATCHED A DEMO GIVEN AT THE BROWN CO. SHERIFF'S OFFICE OVER A YEAR AGO AND WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE MECHANICAL WORKINGS OF THIS RESTRAINT CHAIR. VERY EASY TO USE AND MOBILITY WORKS GREAT FOR US. YOU CAN MOVE IT TO THE INMATE AND TAKE LESS OF A CHANCE OF GETTING AND OFFICER OR AN INMATE INJURED. WE ORDERED ONE ON THE SPOT.
Straight forward and easy to use!

This is so much easier to use than the wrap with much less to go wrong while getting an inmate into it. The wrap took a great deal more training for my staff and regular retraining of my staff and our patrol deputies to keep them current on putting inmates in it, the spar chair is very straight forward and easy to use and after 1 year I have as of yet had anyone get out of it.
Would highly recommend

Our facility recently purchased this restraint chair and I would highly recommend compared to other restraint chair models.
We love it!

Overall the SPAR chair has been great. One little thing is the locking wheels come unlocked when the restrained person wiggles around once secured in it. Aside from that we love it. Just know we have been asked by a few other departments about it and refer them to ICS if they decide to get one of their own.
